16h OTTB 9yr old mare TALENT

16hh, 9 yr old mare, OTTB, $twenty K obo
Jumper, Eventer, Dressage, neck reins, gun/ whip broke, cows and wildlife, trails/endurance.

I’m pretty upset, but at this point into my first season as Huntsman it is clear my beautiful mare Scarlett isn’t settling into my new job. While she will stand for hours whipping or in the field foxhunting, she isn’t content with the whole field stalking her all day. She is a fabulous A+++ whip horse, gun, whip, won’t step on a hound or kick (one of mine regularly walks under her) bottomless, even after 20 miles, and tears streaming from your eyes fast. Good bushwaking, calm when stuck in wire or vines, but will look at you like you’re stupid. Confident to jumps etc and to stand and push back a herd of cows. Good on a trails alone or with company. She’s polite in the field foxhunting, but not a restful ride and needs more than a snaffle out hunting or xc I’ll be honest, but has been hunted by a competent junior in first. She’s schooled to nearly 2nd level (would need to school counter canter and tune up her flying lead changes) and is solid at 1st level. She’s well schooled to 4ft and is an amazing jumper, never backs an ear. She has jumped out of the pasture and Steeplechased, so honestly I think you could even take her up to 5ft, but I’m not motivated to do it. Deceptively huge stride (per George Morris). She would excel as an eventer, jumper, or dressage horse with a serious and competitive rider looking for that talented horse and could step into those careers today no trouble. Did show hunters at a few shows before I bought her as a 4 yr old. She LOVES arena work and would be happy in a strictly dressage program as well. Raced well (register WW Salty Queen with jockey club), would be a heck of a sport horse broodmare with Irish bloodlines top and bottom through Caro & Theatrical. Self loads, clips without drugs, bathes, farrier, ties and cross ties etc, no vices. Has hunted first flight successfully many times at Ozark Highland Hounds, Green Spring Valley. Sweet mare, likes to be groomed, quiet in the cross ties. Gets along well in turnout, not a bully, easy to catch. Personality: she’s captain of the cheerleaders, all honors classes, straight A student, talented Miss America type. Xrayed clean when I bought her, no injuries.
