7yo Gelding with Upper Level Eventing/Jumping Potential

For sale to the perfect home: Archimedes is a 7yo, 16.1 OTTB ready for an experienced owner to take him up the levels. He is currently training with an eventer, but could also excel as a showjumper. “Archie” retired sound from the track (JC: First Exchange) in 2018 after 21 starts. He was properly let down and slowly and correctly restarted. Archie has developed into a playful, athletic workerbee who thrives in a regular program. He moves beautifully on the flat and has lots of scope over fences.

Archie is forward-thinking and light in the bridle. He requires a very experienced rider who is sensitive yet consistent. He has a scopey jump that can unseat a novice rider and a buck when he feels fresh. Archie has recently been fully vetted and has no soundness issues. UTD on all shots.

Archie enjoys cross country schooling and has been to several small local shows and clinics. He currently lives out 24/7 but has also lived in a stall.

Archie is deeply loved by his current owner, but she recognizes that he flourishes when he is in work 6 days a week. His owner is a full-time nurse and student, and unfortunately cannot give him the amount of stimulation that he needs. Priced at $15k, but negotiable to the right home.

Archie is being worked as consistently as the weather permits during the winter, and will start off-farm shows and schooling again in the spring.
