Louie is a 2018 model 16.1hh thoroughbred gelding. He is a sweet, in your pocket personality and just as kind under saddle. Louie retired from racing last year sound but slow – he has been very carefully and correctly produced over this last year.
He has competed in 3 recognized events, never placing worse than 6th. Most recently he competed the Retired Racehorse Project and had the 2nd highest dressage score of the entire division of 60 horses – a 75%. Louie is a bold jumper to boot. Extremely amateur friendly – even suitable for a young teen. He does have a very scopey jump. Louie has a lead change. While he has been competing in Eventing I think he’d be very suitable in a hunter ring also. Schooling 3’.
Louie is fantastic on and off property. Walks on the buckle everywhere, loads, ties, standby politely for vet and farrier. He is a pleasure to have in the barn.
