The position available is for a hardworking, upbeat, horse-loving individual.

Meaghan Marinovich-Burdick, owner of Marinovich Eventing, is an international Event rider currently competing at the FEI 3* level. Marinovich Eventing’s program focuses on training and competing horses through all levels of Eventing, specializing in coaching and training young riders and adult amateurs. Dressage and jumper clients round out the program.

Marinovich Eventing operates out of Powder River Ranch in Cumming, Iowa for most of the year, while calling Powder River Ranch South in Aiken, SC home February through April. This is a great opportunity to join a professional, fun, and hardworking team. Duties vary depending on location and can include feeding, barn chores, grooming, tacking, show grooming, exercising horses, potential for teaching lessons, and general organization and management. There’s plenty of opportunity to learn and grow as a rider and lover of horses throughout the year. Also, following the working student opportunity, there’s an opportunity for development into a permanent valued member of the team.

Powder River Ranch – Cumming, Iowa

Powder River Ranch is a working farm belonging to Meaghan’s Step Father and Mother. The beautiful facility is situated just outside of Des Moines on 320 acres. It is a family affair as the farm grows corn, soybeans and hay. Marinovich Eventing occupies a 14 stall heated barn connected to a 100 x 225 indoor arena. There is also a grass jump field, 1/4 mile grass gallop and 150 x 280 outdoor arena with Martin Collins footing. We employ a full-time employee in the stable so when based in Iowa working students will be assisting with daily chores but will focus on grooming/tacking, organizing/management and assisting with training. (14-18 horses)

Powder River Ranch South- Aiken, South Carolina

Meaghan operates out of her family’s farm and house in Aiken. The farm is situated in the heart of Aiken on 120 acres and is an eventer’s paradise. With a grass jump field, dressage ring, sand gallop track, some XC jumps, trails throughout the property and many hills, a very rare find in Aiken! While in Aiken, the job includes care of the horses, preparing for competitions, competition grooming, attending lessons and more. The focus during this time is competition. (8-12 horses)
